Scripture of the Week
2 Corinthians 6:17-18
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean things; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
Note:
"Come out from among them" is a biblical phrase from 2 Corinthians 6:17 urging believers to separate themselves from sinful practices, idolatry, and ungodly influences. It commands Christians to live distinctively, not conforming to worldly ways, and to avoid partnering with unbelievers in ways that compromise their faith
Bible Study Lesson: Heaven or Hell?.. Your Choice.
The choice between heaven and hell is commonly presented in Christian theology as an individual's decision to accept or reject a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is portrayed not as a single moment of choice at death, but as the result of a life lived either following God's ways (heaven) or rejecting them (hell).
- Heaven: Described as an eternal, perfect destination with God, characterized by no sorrow, decay, or pain, accessible through faith and repentance.
- Hell: Described as a, real, permanent, and often self-chosen separation from God.
